Eligibility Criteria

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or equivalent
  • Have a minimum TOEFL score of 79 on the IBT (Internet Based Test) or 6.5 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). The KAUST admissions code is 4107. A TOEFL or IELTS score is not required if the applicant received a degree from an accredited institution in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.
  • Have a strong academic and research background, as well as a potential for leadership and innovation
  • Have a clear and well-defined research proposal that aligns with the KAUST research themes and objectives

King Abdullah University Scholarship Application Requirements

  • Official University Transcripts: Mandatory for all degrees.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV): A detailed academic and professional CV.
  • Statement of Purpose: Approximately 750 words outlining your research objectives.
  • Three Letters of Recommendation: Required from academic or professional references.
  • Official TOEFL or IELTS Academic Score: Needed if applicable to your chosen institution.
  • GRE Scores: Optional, only submit if available.
